Global Dream Circles

Indigenous peoples all over the planet hold similar creation stories deeply rooted in nature, community, and an expansive sense of cosmology.  There is the remembrance of a womb space, a void of creation, a zone of pure potentiality from which the natural world we now see emerged.

What if you could find your way back to that void by tapping into mystical states of presence?  What if you could learn to consciously dream anew?  What if you have a community of co-dreamers with which to share your experience?

Global Dream Circles is that community.

Through intention, heart-based connection, and practice of active imagination, we dream of bright possibilities together.  We dream of peace and well-being for our planet and all life upon her.  We dream of equality and sovereignty for all sentient beings and practical ways in which they can manifest.

Together, we dream pathways of possibility through which inspired ideas and actions may emerge.  We are many voices, yet one interconnected web of conscious creators.  In our connection, there is power.  As we join our hearts and voices, the power to affect positive change at the quantum level heightens.  We are transformed.

When the dreamer transforms, the dream transforms.  Reality responds.  The future is woven by dream-makers like us, by those with the courage to question the way things have been and envision new possibilities.  The decisions we make today affect the well-being of our planet and all species.  We are called to hold a clear vision of what's possible, to trust that vision and share it through inspired words and actions, and to dream a new world into being.

We invite you to add your voice to Global Dream Circles.

About Us

The Amazon's Dream Culture

The Achuar Tribe of Ecuador maintains a daily ancestral ritual of dream sharing.  For the Achuar, this happens at the very beginning of the day as they gather as a family to share their sleep dreams with one another.  The day ahead is planned according to their dream messages and imagery.  The community's shaman may be consulted to collaborate.

Like the Achuar, many indigenous peoples around the world maintain ancestral dream practices.  The Sng'oi People of Malaysia believe the dream world is more real than the waking world, and they travel each night to the real world to bring back experiences and information to help them navigate the shadow world of waking.  Aboriginal Australians speak of a "time out of time... that time before the world was entirely awake".

What the Achuar have clearly articulated, and many other indigenous cultures would agree, is that we are now being called to dream a new world into being. One of peaceful co-existence that restores and reorients humanity with the natural world and our own true nature.

Our Story

Our story begins with dreamwork.  Through our own dreaming and envisioning practices infused with Celtic Shamanism and sound therapies, we've received the call of the Achuar to join in circle and practice active imaginings of new ways of being together.  To return to the sacred and ceremonial practices of our ancestors and bring them forward into new ways of being.  The Tribe of Humanity holds higher faculties that enable us to literally dream new realities, and within our interwoven web of consciousness with all life, we can bring those dreams forth into our daily experiences.

As we engage in the work of the dream circle, we also recognize the community needs of the Achuar people.  The Amazon Rainforest Basin is home to over 60 Achuar communities who are keepers of the sacred forest lands often seen as the "lungs of the planet".  Protecting the rainforest means protecting its keepers who've been challenged by massive corporate extractions in this vulnerable region.  Therefore, 10% of all donations to Global Dream Circles will be given directly to several Achuar initiatives.

Dream Circle Facilitators

Lisa Isabella Gale, AltPhD

Lisa has worked globally with parents, educators, children and other creatives who seek healing and deeper self-knowing. Through extensive training in a variety of health and well-being modalities, she supports the conscious awakening process through the energies of peace, presence, play, and the cultivation of authentic power.  Her personal and client practice today is most closely aligned with the spiritual and heart-based tradition of Celtic shamanism, Slí an Chroí, and the mentorship of dowser, Raymon Grace.

Lisa helps individuals dream their own lives into greater possibility and co-holds the dream space here as our Global Dream Circles facilitator.

Lisa received degrees from traditional universities in economics, early childhood, and elementary education.  After what some would call a "dark night of the soul" season followed by a prolonged kundalini awakening in 2010, her entire life transformed.  As the mother of three children, she was compelled to do everything possible to be her best self and leave a legacy of brighter possibilities for the next generation. She explored non-traditional education through degree programs in holistic education and shamanic studies in Ireland, as well as dowsing, yoga, and intuitive arts.  The intention to support parents and educators in search of meaningful learning led her to the founding of a non-profit organization that focuses on the true heart of education and inspired learning.

Global Dream Circles is an offshoot of this non-profit. Earthwork begins with Dreamwork. It is the inspiration and energetic architecture for the systems, structures, schools, businesses, and all we hope to create in our communities. All work begins with energy. We can align this energy with the Earth's frequencies for the health and well-being of all.

Terry Chen

Dreams have been a significant practice and passage into more creative realms of Terry’s journey.  She remembers having vivid dreams of past lives as a child.  Dreams have always been a portal into something much greater.  With a doctorate degree in pharmaceutics, Terry has spent the last two decades in the field of healthcare.  As a certified yoga instructor and budding herbalist, she has a 360-degree view of healthcare, understanding the importance of combining Western and Eastern knowledge for a truly healthy and happy “wholistic” life.  In 2013, she had a spiritual awakening experience during a meditation retreat in Plum Village with Thich Nhat Hanh, which began as a series of lucid dreams.  This started her on a lifelong path of spiritual journeying and a deeper exploration of dreamwork.  Working with Dream Yoga practices and lucid dreaming techniques Terry is excited to share her knowledge of dreaming a more realized world with you on your dreaming path.

Women's & Children's Initiatives

Ongoing women's initiatives include support of the local schools and improvement of access to healthy, affordable foods. The current Ecuadorian government's food subsidies include high sugar and processed foods, which is being attributed to the increase of degenerative diseases amongst the Achuar communities. This can be reversed through community education and empowering women leaders.

Vanilla Wildcrafting

The community of Kapawi discovered indigenous vanilla growing on their school grounds and plans to explore sustainable wildcrafting to share local crops within the global marketplace.  This would support a source of local revenue and self-sustained funding for the community's other initiatives.  Vanilla wildcrafting is a women's initiative, as women are seen as the "master gardeners" of the Achuar.
